A New Body of Art
May 2010 | Hallway Gallery, Bellevue, WA
June is the one-year anniversary of Hallway Gallery at Bellevue Place and it is only fitting that we host a new body of art from Amy Spassov.
The artist has fearlessly explored the possibilities her craft has offered and her 2010 show embodies that fearlessness in a way no other has. In what is sure to be a thrill for current collectors and impossible to deny for new devotees Spassov’s current body of work is a feast for the eye. In a daring maneuver to elevate content and color saturation she has altered her layered surface in a way that words cannot lend justice. See for yourself on June 4th 2010 as we celebrate the first anniversary of the gallery in its current location and usher in the new works of Amy Spassov.

Amy Spassov, Artist
"The Nuance of Amy's work is that you appreciate it at a distance by seeing
it in it's entirety.
But when you get close to it you start to pick out
information: headlines, pictures, advertisements. You see that the color
comes from the underlying collages as much as it does from the paint."
